Cat in the City

I hate rushing. I really do not like to rush. It makes me feel stressed and I can't enjoy the moment. 6am-Breakfast 8am-Gym 10pm-FloralPunk 11pm-LamBoutique 12pm-Lunch 1pm-Chinese Lessons. WHEW! I survived it all, and managed to take some great photos, during the day. I feel very accomplished.

Lam Boutique is nice. Every time I go there, there is great music (classical, jazz, opera) and I turn it into my own library. I bring a book and read, and tell the sale assistant that I'm here waiting for a friend...when frankly speaking;I just want to sit there and read. The atmosphere... I can't find words to describe! I highly recommend you go there, and the clothes are excellent quality. Not some brand name with no value.

I was on Instagram yesterday night, jumping up and down with excitement! I couldn't wait to check out FLORALPUNK store and get some nice earrings! So after the gym, I squeezed in a bit of time to go to 3A Ton Duc Thang where the store was located. They have a range of accessories; earrings, necklaces, bracelets and handbags.Very minimalistic. The earrings are very intricate, a lot of things going on. I think the earrings would look chic with a simple outfit. 

LESS IS MORE. I thought I could pull off those earrings (2nd last picture) but I looked weird, didn't suit my face!! So I went with the small oval pair. I'm very insecure when I invest in silver/grey colors. The majority of my clothes are in gold tone, same with handbags. And I NEVER pair silver + gold together. A BIG NO.NO for me. Silver+gold = tacky.

To say that I like Kendall Jenner would be an understatement.  I love her. Understand: she is not only 19, she is a model, Kardashian royalty and has a killer body! She has great style, and I really don't think she needs to put a lot of time and effort to create her outfits. Because she has the body that can wear anything! I'm also really obsessed with her friends! Haily Baldwin and Gigi Hadid! Pretty, fit and very well-connected girls.  I'd definitely would like to be Kendall Jenner for a day. Who would you like to be?

Benefit Cosmetics Party

Make up always excites me! Anytime I get the chance to put on make up, experiment or learn something new about it, I squeal with delight. What can I say, I'm just a girl. A few days ago I went to a very fun "Princess Party" hosted by It Happened to be a Closet . There was BENEFIT make up everywhere! Surrounded by good little treats, yummy!! It was heaven.

I finally learnt how to apply make up for day and night. It was a very productive session for me, because honestly I am not very good with make up. I mean somedays, when I get lucky I'll be able to draw eyeliner that is equal on both eyes. And on bad days my eyeliner seems odd, or I put on way too much lipstick. Life is so unfair.

But, through this session, I finally conquered my fear of applying eyeliner with liquid eyeliner!! Oh the horror! If you do something slightly wrong, it will show. That is why I am always in envy with art students. They always seem to be the ones that are amazing at make up. 

Definitely a memorable night, especially bringing those little cute BENEFIT freebie bags home. 

What kind of make up do you guys like to use? I like M.A.C,  Bobbi Brown, Chanel and now BENEFIT.

Clean Lines

Bonjour,

I'm in the process of moving into a new house with my family, so it's been very hectic. And I decided on top of everything - to take Chinese. Why not? Haha, sometimes I don't know what I'm putting myself into. More chaos, more mayhem but I sort of enjoy this fast pace life. Definitely think that New York energy is still inside of me. It's contagious.

Construction is nearly done, I went to visit the house yesterday and there was no roof! Haha! So I really can't do much but just wait impatiently. In the mean time, I have some #ROOMSPIRATION to keep me occupied. I'm very excited to move! I just need to get rid of my current room which looks like half pre-school and middle school. Baby pictures, teddy bears, dolls and naked pictures of me everywhere. It's very embarrassing and when I have friends over, I blush so much and just cringe :( 

Thank god, I am moving. 

These photos have been sleeping in my desktop folder for a while...so it's time I share it with you guys. None of these photos are mine, the majority of them are from tumblr/pinterest or if you just google "Scandanavian style bedrooms" I have a penchant for Scandinavian ikea rooms. Simple, clean and very classy! All WHITE. I LIKE.

What do you think? It may seem impossible to create this nice cozy room in Vietnam because the weather here is too hot! But I think the white color and wooden floors would be realistic. Keeps the room fresh, clean and cool.

By the way if you know any cool antique stores where I can check out coffee tables, lamps or quirky items do let me know. I do want to add a bit of my Vietnamese heritage to the room. I only know Decosy in district 2. I'm still hunting for some cool pieces for my new room! :)
