I want to say this word. But it starts with an F. And its quite impolite. So I can't find my other photos of New York. I had this HUGE Folder containing all of my photos of Greenwich and New York. Ugh, now I can't find them. I'm freaking out because I really want to share it with you guys! But I found this tutorial to recover emptied trash files. I'm excited to try it. If it works, I will be in tears of joy. Anyways, lets not sweat the small stuff as they say it...(haha even though this problem is like the end of the world to me because every photo of mine is valuable) hmmm, this post is dedicated to my friend Melkorka and her pug Yoko!!
I won't lie being away from Vietnam was terrifying. I was homesick almost everyday during the first semester and cried a lot. I felt pathetic but I realized I wasn't the only one. Apparently as an International Student, homesick is mandatory. It sucks, but you deal with it. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to meet an amazing friend. Her name is Melkorka/Korka/Icelandic princess. So many variations! I love it. She's a photographer and a first year like me at Sarah Lawrence College. Occasionally I would spend time at her place. We would go out for vegan smoothies and sushi. Our tradition. And end up with a photoshoot at her terrace for facebook profile pictures haha!
Her pug is Yoko. I don't know if she is named after Yoko Ono who also went to Sarah Lawrence College. The cool thing about my school, which I am not ashamed to brag is the myriad of famous people who've attended SLC! And how many times SLC is mentioned in pop culture, e.g "10 Things I Hate About You"
I just wanted to tell you, Melkorka; how much I appreciate you being a great friend and how much fun I have when I'm around you. Thank you!! Loves youuu.
