While, my arrival was a bit rough in the beginning (adjusting to the new time zone and America in general) I'm happy to say I forgot all my troubles with the beautiful serene surrounding. Yes, very cheesy but seriously nothing beats fall in New York City. Think, sweater weather, wearing cute high boots, coats, scarves and getting your morning coffee with leaves falling all around you...A dream come true for me! I think people are more nicer when Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner... Hehe, thats why we should celebrate Christmas everyday! How happy will we be?
In Saigon, Fall. Winter. NEVER. HAPPENING. Its global warming in my home country. So I'm loving my wardrobe options.
I spent the day with Melkorka and her dog, Yoko. She is a cute chubby pug, that I love to hug! They make my day. We went to Bloomingdales for shoe hunting and ended the night with Organic Hamburgers and K-town for Bubble Tea. I was so excited to see Melkorka try Bubble Tea!! So priceless! Foreigners are so intrigued about what the black bubbles are? We Asians call it Tapioca pearls. Don't ask what's the ingredients are...just drink and enjoy!!! :)
I've never been so cautious with my purchases, since I got to New York. I'm always like "Can I wear this when I go back to Ho Chi Minh City?" With HUNTER BOOTS. YES. I'm certain when I get home during rainy season in July I can wear them!!! Easy to slip on and nice to wear. I look like I'm about to ride a horse when I wear them. Definitely gives you that equestrian look. However here are my two main HUNTER RULES:
1. No Hunter, when walking for a long time. (It damages the sole of the boots!)
2. No Hunter, when Christmas begins. Seriously, its rain boots! Not snow boots. You'll be ice skating through the city (like I did and it was embarrassing)
